In July 2025, a Manhattan jury delivered a mixed verdict: Combs was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges (which could have carried life sentences) but guilty on the two transportation-for-prostitution counts under the Mann Act. His defense argues he did not coerce anyone, characterizing his actions as amateur pornography rather than pimping, and has proposed a sentence of just 14 months\u2014citing time already served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prosecutors have pushed back strongly, portraying Combs as \u201cunrepentant\u201d and pointing to witness testimony\u2014including from ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura\u2014about abuse, coercion, and long-term trauma. Meanwhile, Combs\u2019 legal team and supporters (including his mother) have submitted letters to the court emphasizing his past hardships, efforts at rehabilitation, and time already spent in detention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
