Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders says he’s planning to rejoin his team soon after missing the start of summer activities due to health recovery.
In a recent video update shared by his son, Deion Sanders Jr., the coach said he’s doing well and expects to be back in Boulder shortly. Sanders has been recovering off-site, following ongoing medical treatment related to previous foot issues.
“I miss you all more than you know,” Sanders said in his message to players. He added that he’s proud of how the team is handling things in his absence and praised his coaching staff for keeping things on track.
Sanders, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, has faced multiple health setbacks over the years, including foot surgeries that led to the amputation of two toes. Still, he remains committed to leading Colorado forward after a challenging 4–8 season in 2023.
Though away from campus, Sanders has stayed actively involved in team planning and continues to push his players to stay focused as preparations for the 2025 season ramp up.
