Liver King Arrested in Austin Following Online Threats Toward Joe Rogan

Brian Johnson, better known as the “Liver King,” was arrested Tuesday evening in Austin, Texas, after posting a series of alarming social media videos directed at podcast host Joe Rogan. Johnson, a fitness personality known for his raw meat diet and controversial health claims, was taken into custody at the Four Seasons Hotel downtown.

The arrest came after Johnson uploaded multiple Instagram videos where he openly challenged Rogan to a physical confrontation. In one video, he said he was “picking a fight” with the MMA-trained Rogan and made inflammatory remarks while engaging in bizarre on-camera antics. According to police, Johnson continued making similar posts even after arriving in Austin.

Though Rogan reportedly has never interacted with Johnson, authorities said he found the online threats unsettling and reported them. Austin police obtained a warrant, citing the threats as credible, and arrested Johnson without incident. He has been charged with making a terroristic threat, which is classified as a Class B misdemeanor in Texas.

Johnson was booked into Travis County Jail and is awaiting legal proceedings. His rise to fame stemmed from advocating an “ancestral lifestyle” that included extreme diets and fitness regimens. However, he faced backlash in 2022 after admitting he had secretly used steroids despite previously claiming otherwise.

As the case develops, it raises broader questions about how social media behavior can escalate into legal consequences, especially when public figures are involved.
