Caitlin Clark Leaves Game Late with Groin Injury in Fever Victory

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark exited Tuesday night’s 85–77 win over the Connecticut Sun after appearing to aggravate a groin injury in the final moments of the game. With under a minute left, Clark made a pass and then grabbed at her right thigh, visibly frustrated as she walked off the court and covered her head with a towel on the bench. Her reaction raised immediate concerns, especially given her history of muscle injuries this season.

Head coach Stephanie White confirmed after the game that Clark “felt something in her groin” and would undergo further evaluation. Clark had previously missed several games due to groin and quad issues and had only recently returned to the lineup. Despite the setback, she recorded 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in the win, helping lead the Fever to a strong road performance in front of a packed crowd. The team now faces a difficult decision on whether to rest Clark ahead of a critical stretch that includes back-to-back games against the New York Liberty and the upcoming WNBA All-Star Game.
