Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson sat out Thursday’s training session, a day after leaving practice early when he was accidentally stepped on. The team clarified that the incident was minor and that Jackson is expected to be fine.
On Wednesday, Jackson went down during drills and was escorted off the field by medical staff roughly 40 minutes before practice ended. At one point, he was seen flexing his wrist, raising some initial concern, but team officials emphasized there was no serious injury.
This marks only his second missed practice of camp—the first was for personal reasons—and it comes with the Ravens already planning to rest him for Saturday’s preseason game against Washington. With 17 days until the season opener against the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore remains confident their star quarterback will be ready to start.
