Adam Thielen Returns to Vikings in Trade with Panthers

The Minnesota Vikings are bringing back a familiar face, reacquiring wide receiver Adam Thielen from the Carolina Panthers in a multi-pick trade. According to league sources, Carolina will receive a 2026 fifth-round selection and a 2027 fourth-rounder, while Minnesota gets Thielen along with a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round choice.

Thielen, a Minnesota native who spent the first ten years of his career with the Vikings, became one of the team’s most dependable playmakers before joining Carolina in 2023. His return comes at a critical time, with the Vikings needing help at receiver following Jordan Addison’s three-game suspension and other depth concerns. For Thielen, the move represents both a homecoming and a chance to strengthen a roster that’s aiming to stay competitive in the NFC North.
