Packers Land Micah Parsons in Blockbuster Trade, Record-Breaking Deal

In a seismic NFL move, the Dallas Cowboys have traded star pass-rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. The Packers sent defensive tackle Kenny Clark, a three-time Pro Bowler, along with first-round draft picks in both 2026 and 2027 to Dallas in exchange for Parsons.

Parsons quickly secured his future in Green Bay, signing a 4-year, $188 million contract that includes $136 million guaranteed and $120 million fully guaranteed at signing. The deal makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history, averaging $47 million per year. The trade capped off a tense standoff with Dallas, where Parsons had requested a trade on August 1 and held out of training camp. Despite the move, he expressed gratitude to Cowboys fans, saying his “heart has always been here,” while noting frustrations with how negotiations were handled.
