If they don’t, I’m gonna be good regardless.” Negotiations have stalled, prompting him to request a trade—an offer the Raiders declined.
Despite the unresolved contract situation, Meyers opted against a holdout and is preparing for the season opener, out of loyalty to his teammates. “They are looking at me to see if they want me here. I’m looking at them to see if I want to be around them,” he said. For now, he plans to continue playing hard while leaving the door open for what comes next.
