Baltimore running back Derrick Henry expressed frustration and remorse following a pivotal fourth-quarter fumble that helped seal the Ravens’ 38–30 defeat to the Detroit Lions. As Henry walked off the field, he was visibly upset — slamming his helmet on the bench — and later told reporters, “This sucks right now,” admitting he’s hurting over the error. It marked his third fumble in as many games.
Henry’s costly mistake occurred when Lions’ defensive end Aidan Hutchinson punched the ball out at Baltimore’s own 16-yard line, leading to a Detroit field goal. His coach, John Harbaugh, described the play as “kind of a blind shot” and stressed the need for better ball security. Henry has especially struggled in this area — while such fumbles are rare for him, he’s now suffered two fourth-quarter fumbles in losses this season.
Despite the setback, Henry said he’s working to fix the recurring issue. “I’m my worst critic,” he said, adding that while the streak of mistakes is hard to stomach, he believes the Ravens can bounce back. He also noted how tough the adversity is, but insisted that the team can regroup and get back on track if they stay focused.
