Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Leaves Loss to Chiefs with Hamstring Injury

The Baltimore Ravens suffered another setback Sunday as star quarterback Lamar Jackson exited in the third quarter of a 37–20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. Jackson went down after being sacked by defensive lineman George Karlaftis and did not return to the game, leaving his team to finish without its offensive leader.

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters afterward that the severity of the injury is still unknown, though early indications suggest it is not season-ending. Still, his absence looms large for a Ravens team now sitting at 1–3 and struggling to find momentum early in the season.

Jackson’s performance before the injury reflected the difficult afternoon Baltimore endured. He threw an interception, lost a fumble on a scramble, and was pressured on 56 percent of his dropbacks — the highest rate of his career in a game with at least ten attempts. His offensive line struggled to contain Kansas City’s pass rush, forcing him into constant duress.

With Jackson sidelined, backup Cooper Rush took over under center. If further evaluation reveals the injury will keep Jackson out, Rush could be in line to start next week. For Baltimore, the focus now turns to their quarterback’s recovery and whether the offense can regroup in his absence before the season slips further out of reach.
