The Tennessee Titans have dismissed head coach Brian Callahan after a disappointing 1–5 start in 2025, ending his tenure just six games into his second season. Mike McCoy, the team’s senior offensive assistant and former Chargers head coach, has been named interim coach as the franchise looks to regroup.
Callahan, hired in January 2024 following his success as the Bengals’ offensive coordinator, departs with a 4–19 record overall. His firing came shortly after a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, amid growing criticism of the Titans’ offensive struggles and lack of progress under his leadership.
Team president Chad Brinker said the decision followed extensive discussions with ownership and management, emphasizing that the team had not shown enough improvement. The Titans, led by rookie quarterback Cam Ward, now turn to McCoy to stabilize a team seeking direction in a challenging season.
