Cowboys Honor Marshawn Kneeland With Emotional Tribute in Dominant Win

In their first game since the tragic death of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, the Cowboys returned to the field and made a point of honoring him with visible tributes. Players wore decals of his number (94) on their helmets and T-shirts featuring his image, and the team observed a moment of silence before kickoff.

On the field, Dallas produced a dominant performance, defeating the Raiders 33-16 behind a four-touchdown night from quarterback Dak Prescott and big play contributions across the roster. George Pickens finished with 144 receiving yards and a touchdown, while the Cowboys defense held Las Vegas to a single offensive touchdown and forced key stops.

The emotional backdrop loomed large: Kneeland, just 24 years old, died in early November in an apparent suicide after a police pursuit, and the team treated the game as a moment both to grieve and to rally. Coach Brian Schottenheimer said the Cowboys aimed to honor Kneeland “by the way we play.”
