LSU delivered a dramatic rally to defeat Arkansas and punch its ticket to the Men’s College World Series finals, coming from behind in the final innings to secure the win.
Down 2 runs in the 9th, the Tigers caught fire with a series of clutch hits, including a game-tying two-run RBI by Josh Pearson. LSU pulled ahead with a pair of RBI singles that gave them a lead they wouldn’t surrender.
Arkansas had controlled much of the game with strong pitching and early offense, but struggled to contain LSU’s late surge. The Razorbacks’ bullpen couldn’t hold back the momentum, and their hopes of returning to the finals were dashed in the final frames.
With the win, LSU now advances to the championship round of the MCWS, where they’ll compete for their seventh national title. The team’s resilience and timely hitting have made them one of the most dangerous squads left in Omaha.
