Shohei Ohtani reached a significant milestone on Tuesday, launching his 100th home run as a Los Angeles Dodger during a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, though the Dodgers ultimately lost 9–7. The solo shot came against rookie Bubba Chandler in the third inning.
Remarkably, Ohtani achieved this feat in just his 294th game with the Dodgers, making him the quickest player in franchise history to reach 100 homers—surpassing Gary Sheffield’s previous mark of 399 games.
The home run registered an exit velocity of 120 mph—the hardest-hit ball of his career and the hardest by a Dodger since Statcast began recording such data in 2015.
