The House Oversight Committee has unveiled new documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein’s network, including a page from a so-called “birthday book” created for the financier’s 50th birthday in 2003. Among the entries is a sketch attributed to Donald Trump that has already stirred political controversy.
The page, drawn in a playful yet sexually suggestive style, shows the outline of a nude female figure with the name “Donald” scrawled near her lower body. Above the drawing is a mock exchange between “Donald” and “Jeffrey,” ending with the line: “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.” Lawmakers said the page was part of a larger, leather-bound album that contained greetings, notes, and messages from various acquaintances of Epstein, many of whom have faced scrutiny since his death in 2019.
Trump has strongly rejected the authenticity of the drawing and message, dismissing them as forgeries. He has also filed a sweeping $10 billion defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal, which first reported on the alleged contribution to Epstein’s book earlier this year. Trump insists he had no role in producing the page and continues to distance himself from Epstein, despite past photos and public comments showing the two socializing in the early 2000s.
The release of this page comes amid a broader push from congressional Democrats, who argue the public deserves to see all available evidence linked to Epstein’s influence and his circle of connections. They say transparency is essential to understanding how Epstein leveraged his wealth and network, particularly given the prominent names that have surfaced in his records.
While Republicans have largely downplayed the significance of the material, Democrats on the committee argue that the revelations underscore the need for further inquiry. The latest disclosures have reignited questions not only about Trump’s past ties to Epstein but also about the broader web of powerful figures who crossed paths with the disgraced financier.
The Oversight Committee has indicated that additional documents may be released in the coming weeks as its review continues. For now, the “birthday book” page serves as one of the most provocative pieces of evidence in the growing archive of Epstein’s social world—and a fresh flashpoint in the intersection of politics, scandal, and public accountability.
