Tyreek Hill Suffers Severe Knee Injury in Dolphins’ Win Over Jets

During Monday night’s game in Miami Gardens, Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was carted off the field after suffering a serious left knee injury. The injury occurred early in the third quarter when Hill caught a 10-yard pass from Tua Tagovailoa and was tackled out of bounds; his leg twisted awkwardly underneath him. The Dolphins later confirmed he had dislocated his knee, and multiple sources revealed he also tore several ligaments, including his ACL.

Hill was taken to the hospital overnight for further evaluation. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, accompanied him and said Hill was undergoing MRI and CT scans to determine the full extent of the damage, including potential cartilage, bone, or nerve involvement. The injury is expected to end his season, pending surgery.

Despite the crisis, Hill remained composed during the cart ride off the field — waving to fans and reassuring teammates. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel described him as unusually upbeat in the face of such a traumatic injury. Miami responded by scoring two consecutive touchdowns after Hill’s exit, and McDaniel credited Hill’s leadership and spirit for helping motivate the team.

Before the injury, Hill had been off to a strong start this season, missing only one game since joining Miami and leading the Dolphins with 198 receiving yards. With Hill likely sidelined long term, the Dolphins will lean heavily on Jaylen Waddle as their primary receiver and look to players like Malik Washington and tight end Darren Waller to fill the void in the passing game.
