Nikola Jokić Drops 55 as Nuggets Crush Clippers for Sixth Straight Win

In a dominant showing for the Denver Nuggets, Jokić scored a season-high 55 points, tying the highest total in the NBA this season, as Denver beat the Los Angeles Clippers 130-116. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out six assists while shooting an efficient 18-of-23 from the field and 5-of-6 from three-point range.

Jokić got off to an explosive start, putting up 25 points in the first quarter alone — the most he’s ever scored in a single quarter. Although the Clippers led at halftime, Denver exploded in the third quarter, out-scoring Los Angeles 43-18 to seize control of the game.

The victory extended the Nuggets’ win streak to six games and improved their road trip record to 2-0. The Clippers, meanwhile, dropped their sixth straight game and continue to deal with major injuries, including the absence of key players.
